CURB YOUR ENTHUSIASM season 11 was at its best when it focused on quiet moments about nothing. This past season had seven 🤩 and three 😊. In other words, that’s better than “pretty, pretty, good.”
Here’s my breakdown of each episode ranked.
Not my favorite shirt of the season. But it’s also not dumb enough to be stuck in traffic.
“The plopper” and a guest appearance by Jon Hamm can’t save the season premiere from just being “pretty good.”
Despite having Tracy Ullman as a guest star, the biggest highlight was seeing Richard Lewis return after missing most of the season due to surgery.
Each plot “arrived’ in time for their “appointment” in this episode that will always have me remember to “pee before you leave.”
“Fun fact,” I disagree with Larry. I don’t want to be disrupted when I’m resting or sleeping.
I could spread the gospel like a “Jew for Jesus,” but I don’t want to build a new “reminder/remindee” relationship if you’re not already watching the most consistently funny show on TV.
Lesson learned – Regardless of being a klansman, a jew, or a black man, the most critical code of all is to pick something up after you drop it.
Please sign me up for the “House Husbands” service 😂.
The comedy goes to “stage four” hilarity as audiences learn how to be a good middler.
Larry David goes after Donald Trump, Mormons, and the holocaust in the season finale while still leaving room for poop jokes and spreading “penis awareness” (I never thought I’d combine all of those elements into one sentence).
Season 11 is available on HBO Max.
