INVASION S1 🤩

INVASION is a huge sci-fi apocalyptic series that had me anxiously biting off all my nails while watching. It is story-driven, asking viewers to care and connect deeply with the characters. The INVASION comes later in waves and leaves many holes still necessary to fill.

Critics have complained about the vast build-up of confusing information from each corner of the globe. Some say it was too much to be drawn in and kept. I totally disagree. Each episode compelled me to the next. Cliffhangers helped, as well as killing off the main characters. This is always brave and bold and keeps me wondering who is next.

The enemy is formidable. I hate blood, gore, and charred bodies. INVASION does not hold back. The talented ensemble leads audiences on a slow burn of “what the hell is going on moments?” I found it satisfying and wanted more immediately. Luckily, the second season has just premiered with weekly installments. Yay! I can’t wait for more answers and watching who will survive.

INVASION won’t be everyone’s favorite show, but for me, it was an entertaining highlight to some very slow movie and TV nights. It is available to stream on Apple TV+.
