BIG SHOT surprised me. I didn’t think I would enjoy this series as much as I did. John Stamos was believable as a narcissistic, hot-headed former NCAA college basketball coach. He’s forced to take the only job available for him at an all-girls high school.
The writers made sure each episode was not just about watching basketball. Each character had their own story to share and it definitely kept my attention. The entire ensemble grew and worked together as a team which ironically added to the sport’s theme.
John Stamos is charismatic and very easy on the eyes. He has the acting chops to light up each of his scenes. I especially liked how he grew as a father. The advice he gave to the girl’s team and his teenage daughter makes BIG SHOT great family viewing.
BIG SHOT ended with a mini cliffhanger. I hope it is renewed. It is definitely fun to watch and a positive influence on people of all ages.
BIG SHOT is available to stream on Disney Plus.
