THE SECRET WOMAN 🤮

THE SECRET WOMAN is based upon the successful Danish crime novel written by Anna Ekberg, a pseudonym for a popular writing duo. It features lukewarm, character voiceovers and narration. It is an interesting plot, but it lacks the chemistry and pizazz necessary to pull off such huge story content. The actors needed to express more facial expressions in order to make audiences believe such a tale is even possible.

At first, I was intrigued, but then after awhile of viewing I just wanted to get through the details and into the conclusion. The acting appeared stiff and quite unremarkable. I found myself talking back to the screen shouting to the actors to emote and give more. This never occurred with the exception of one balcony death. Ah, but that was a little too late to make up for all the other rigid, blah moments.

THE SECRET SOMAN might work better as a book. I was not impressed, and I usually love this type of genre. It is streaming on Netflix.
