ABBOTT ELEMENTARY is about public schools not feeling like an “afterthought.” It is tough believing your school is special when comparing budgets to a charter academy.

The writing truly reflects problems facing public schools in poor, underfunded communities. This is the beauty of this series. It shares the trials and tribulations quite honestly yet succinctly. The bonus is always that touch of humor and class. I loved the “shout-out” to SHARK TANK. Funny and well-acted by the entire ensemble. “Shark diving” should become a “thing” with everyone.

ABBOTT ELEMENTARY is giving viewers a fresh look at an age-old problem. I am not “petering out.” Children need “window whisperers” and teachers who deeply care and respect what they do.

ABBOTT ELEMENTARY is available to stream on ABC Television.
