TREVOR NOAH: JOY IN THE TRENCHES is a well-crafted, stand-up comedy special recorded while on tour in Washington, DC. It is clever, fresh, snarky, and filled with a litany of Noah’s character voices. Be prepared to nod in agreement at his wise idioms and insightful scenarios. It is a worthwhile hour of your time as we all fill small moments with joy and laughter.
Noah could have made this entertaining show all about politics and Trump (“Whoever he may be”). Instead, Noah included a variety of topics from the Grammys to the trenches of WWI to his therapy sessions. It was all very revealing inside the inner workings of a complicated, genius comedian. Noah’s type of humor stays with audiences long after he walks off-stage. I am in awe of his intellectual prowess to explain our society’s shortcomings so succinctly.
TREVOR NOAH: JOY IN THE TRENCHES should not be missed, especially if he is not traveling to your home city in the near future.
