THE GENTLEMEN was a slow burn of necessary information that violently exploded into a fabulous conclusion and a total set-up for another season. The path of revenge was so brutal with nothing held back in the end that I couldn’t resist binging three episodes together. The action and intensity were impossible to ignore. It all made my heart race and dream of headless images.

Guy Ritchie (SHERLOCK HOLMES, MOBLAND) knows how to take audiences to the brink and make every scenario seem realistic and reasonable even when dealing with the drug industry. His style is definitely fast and furious. It is pure escapism and quite a thrill to watch.

Eddie (Theo James) and Susie (Kaya Scodelario) were simply superb together. Their quick banter keeps audiences on their toes wondering where their loyalty actually lies. It is difficult portraying characters who must hide their true emotions, yet still allow their gut-wrenching feelings to surface and be seen every now and then. The two of them hold audiences in the palm of their hand while surrounding us with an excellent ensemble as well. The entire premise is not to be believed, but savored for the exciting entertainment.

THE GENTLEMEN surely will return. It can’t leave us hanging. I will be waiting to see more twisted plot lines and death-defying survival sequences. Bring it on.
