David Oyelowo gives a raw and powerful performance as a shut-down man immersed in the bindings of trauma and grief. The movie shocked me and then brought me to tears. It reinforced how fleeting life can be. It is harsh and healing all within a second. Brilliant writing and acting. It encapsulates the immensity of the grieving process.
THE AFTER is worth the viewer’s time and attention. It is streaming on Netflix.
