SHRINKING gave me a whole new way to deal with life’s confrontations. Sometimes the BOOP just says and does it all, but you can’t be offended if you have been “booped.” It seems to be a standard, common practice of psychiatry.

The entire ensemble is having growing pains. They are crawling through the emotional muck of “facing the music,” especially when you f*** up. It must be in the candy they are eating because, whew! Major f*** ups and dilemmas are showcased …not solved. The writers gave us fabulous, insightful nuggets into each character’s psyche. Jason Segel, Harrison Ford, and Jessica Williams are able to crawl through it all with humor and honesty. There are just so many laugh-out-loud moments to treasure. The gulp, the chafing thighs, the freckle, and the scary peacocks are hilarious. Kudos to all!

SHRINKING is a jewel among the many “meh” television series. It gets under your skin and inside your heart with family, friendship, grief, and love issues. It says it like it is in real life, and sometimes we all have no other option but the BOOP. Thank goodness.

SHRINKING is available to stream on Apple TV+.
