SHOTGUN WEDDING boasts an amazing cast of big-name stars. It’s a mix of a romcom, piracy, and “shoot ’em up” escapism. It can be considered entertaining, but only if you are a JLo fan. She is, as always, JLo.

The ensemble consists of Jennifer Coolidge, Josh Duhamel, Sonia Braga, Cheech Marin, and Lenny Kravitz. I have a feeling that many of the dialogues concerning Jennifer were improvised. “When I am in a formal, I like to pee standing.” Need I say more? I felt as though the actors did their best with a weak script—too many holes and not enough substance. I loved the concept, but the film was just foggy with all the ups and downs of the action. I did, most of the time, believe Josh and JLo were in love, except when they were screeching at each other. This got old very quickly. The physicality of the comedy action scenarios was crazy and humorous. I could not wait for JLo to cut that dress up. She is simply beautiful in anything she wears. Her body is unbelievably perfect.

SHOTGUN WEDDING is an average film meant for the fans. If you are, then you will enjoy it, but don’t look for anything more than an insane wedding with eccentric family, friends, and live grenades.
