THE RUNNER 🤮

THE RUNNER is a preposterous thriller, that is not worth your time or attention. There are more holes in the story content than I can count. The film is boring and I am embarrassed for the actors.

I am a huge fan of Gal Gadot who portrays Maia in this poorly written film. She deserves better because most have seen her acting resume. (WONDER WOMAN, DEATH ON THE NILE) She has the acting chops, but in THE RUNNER, audiences will mostly listen to her breathe heavily as she races across the streets of London with her ponytail flying back and forth. I just wasn’t worried enough by her predicament and it made everyone around her look as inept as she did. With all the cameras on every London street, the entire chase scene looked ridiculous. Gadot’s jogging suit would stand out a mile. It all made no sense.

I must say, it was fun getting a mini-tour of this marvelous city, even though the pacing was fast and furious. The location angle just wasn’t enough to sustain empathy or interest. I marvel that I finished the movie at all.

My advice is to keep on scrolling when THE RUNNER appears on your Amazon Prime screen. You’re welcome.
