SEVERANCE S2E8 SWEET VITRIOL ๐Ÿ˜Š

SEVERANCE took viewers on a revealing road trip with Harmony Cobel (Patricia Arquette) back to a snowy, mostly deserted โ€œLumon factory town.โ€ There amid the locked doors of Cobellโ€™s childhood, an intricate, sad backstory emerged that changes everything.

This is all I can say without releasing spoilers. It was very confusing the first time I watched SWEET VITRIOL. Seeing it a second time helped immensely, especially since there were many very dark scenes that made it difficult to catch the action. I am sure the shadowing camera effects were also on purpose for the storytelling.ย

Sometimes, I wish the series was a tad more straightforward. This one felt not quite so entwined with recent episodes and more like an afterthought. It was derailing. Yes, we get it. Arquette is one fine actress, and Cobel is a tough, vulnerable woman. Is this good for the direction of SEVERANCE? There are only two more episodes this season, so the jury is still deliberating.ย

SEVERANCE is on its way back to Mark (Adam Scott) next week. I canโ€™t wait. โ€œTell me everything.โ€

SEVERANCE is streaming on Apple TV+.ย
