PARADISE S2 REVIEW ๐Ÿ˜Š

Season two of PARADISE is over, and fans are set up for next year with a huge cliffhanger waiting to be resolved. This gritty drama had audiences traveling the country with Xavier (Sterling K. Brown). Dan Fogelman, Creator, Executive Producer, and Writer, gave viewers ample hope for our planet’s survival. It was action- packed while still revealing deep secrets and hidden agendas.ย

The cast of characters had a chance to spread their wings within their emotionally charged story arcs. Some I cheered for, and others I know I was mouthing WTF under my breath. I loved how the writers tied Atlanta to Boulder. I was skeptical at first, but it worked like a charm, and I enjoyed the use of Elvisโ€™s mansion as a prelude.

I was impressed by the addition of new characters, which spurred more questions about the apocalypse. Kudos to Annie, Jane, Gabriela, Terri, and especially Sinatra. Their intense performances kept me on the edge of my seat, watching them portray violence, love, and everything in between. Nicely executed.ย

PARADISE isnโ€™t afraid to kill off main characters. This adds to the frenzy and chaos. It makes everything feel more authentic, although you really have to suspend disbelief to become a bunker resident. Season two was more intense and intentional. I think Fogelman is holding us all hostage in the palm of his hand, exactly where he wants us to be. Silly me. I trust him.ย

Check out PARADISE, currently streaming on Hulu.
