SCHMIGADOON! is tossing out too many rhetorical questions. Stop confusing me. Fame seems to be taking over Melissa (Cecily Strong) and Josh’s (Keegan-Michael Key) sense of self and purpose. It is their turn now.
“Creepy Kratt” (Patrick Page) has a plan and is the “final destination.” There is always a twist to his sinister plotting. Plump orphans, sharpened knives, and “Moses Supposes” (from Donald O’Connor in SINGING IN THE RAIN) are more than I can handle. This episode seems to be the set-up for next week’s finale. This season has flown by, and I could use more “sour macaroons wrapped with a pretty ribbon.” Very smart and kind.
SCHMIGADOON! is such a fun, fantastical ride into musical production heaven. I am unsure how Melissa and Josh will get home, but I am sure it will be outrageous and a toe-tapping extravaganza. Just remember, “I couldn’t sit through SWEENY TODD again.
