LOOT is a dry, comedy sitcom about an extremely, rich billionaire, ($87 billion to be exact). Molly (Maya Rudolph) wants to find meaning and purpose to her life after it gets turned upside down.

I enjoyed seeing how very wealthy people live and play, but it showed only one side to their lifestyle. Most seemed shallow and often lonely even though they were surrounded by many employees. Molly wants more. She wants meaning and purpose again, but she is at a loss in how to manipulate around โ€œordinaryโ€ people. Her journey is the main thrust of the show, as she makes many mistakes along the way.

LOOT has possibilities if it can find and maintain its footing. The ensemble needs to work to find their chemistry and spark. I am not sure where this show will all land since it cannot sustain the same, plot lines each week. I enjoy this type of humor, but it could get old very quickly.

For the moment, I will be an optimist and give LOOT a few more episodes of viewing. Maya, as Molly, hopefully will have a few tricks up her sleeve. It is available to stream on APPLE TV+.
