GASLIT highlighted the “domino” effect of commuting a crime and getting caught. As a result, life changed for key players who believed in the loyalty of the Nixon Administration.

This episode showcased amazing acting skills from Martha (Julia Roberts) and Liddy (Shea Whigham). I was so impressed with the utter downfall and “destruction” of these two actors. I can’t even imagine the dark places Julia and Shea had to go to portray their character’s descent into hell. It was powerful and riveting (definitely “Emmy” nomination worthy).

GASLIT was created on facts from the Watergate political scandal. The writers are “filling” in the crevices and holes from what may have happened behind the scenes based on what is known to be true. All I can say is, “holy crap!” Our country was in such deep denial. People in control are just not what they seem to be when the lights “go dark.”

GASLIT is available to stream on STARZ.
