ETERNITY puts a new spin on what happens when a person dies. It is a somber, thought-provoking, rom-com that gives new meaning to the hereafter. Director David Freyne (THE CURED, DATING AMBER) leads audiences on a quirky, predictable path.
Larry (Miles Teller), Joan (Elizabeth Olsen), and Luke (Callum Turner) made life and death very compelling and intricate. Their situations were super complicated. Luckily, there was an “A.C.” for every individual. “Your A.C. will answer your questions.” The simplicity of the intentional, original story arcs never let me down. The questions raised and discussed were good for my soul to hear.
ETERNITY hit every funny bone with the sarcastic, hilarious Da’Vine Joy Randolph. Her comedic timing is a delight and keeps the content going in the right direction. It was also wonderful to see Betty Buckley (CARRIE) back on screen. It’s been too long.
ETERNITY is a sweet, endearing film that will tug on your heartstrings. It contains strong characters and a moving plot. It gives power to the phrase… timing is everything.
