RORY SCOVEL: SHOW MUST GO ON is a comedy stop in Seattle for this stand-up comedian. He does not hold back with his opinions about politics, family, or life in general. He cusses a great deal, so be forewarned. He is at times a bit brutal with his reactions to the audience. They were roaring with loud laughs, so no feelings were obviously hurt in this process. It is simply Scovel’s bombastic style.
I found his perspective on life and events aligned with my own. He has a humorous way to get to the heart of the matter and then let it rip. His topics were at times a little dated, but then our current news stories have a tendency to race by at unbelievable speeds. I did check and this is a current, new concert.
He surprised me towards the end of his set and exposed gut-wrenching emotions. You could hear a pin drop in the auditorium. He held everyone in his pocket. I was about to shed tears, and then…well, I won’t reveal any spoilers. Just know he finished strong.
This is not Rory Scovel’s first tv special, and it showed with his confident, arrogant delivery manner. Although I did not roar with laughter, he had a humorous perspective on life that definitely will click with many viewers.
