PARADISE S2E1-E3 🤩

PARADISE premiered the first three episodes of season two. Each chapter took audiences through necessary backstories and intriguing, bloody action into the horrible, messy consequences of current situations. The writers gave audiences a smidge of what it looks like to try to survive, not only in Colorado but across the country. It is a very dangerous world to be sure, or is it “JUST ANOTHER DAY IN PARADISE”

Dan Fogelman, (THIS IS US) the creator and one of the many writers, is determined to lead viewers deep within a gripping thriller, one that is keeping audiences guessing where our country is more civilized…above or below ground. Who can tell? So many compelling characters have bitten the dust in such a short time. For me, the jury is still out on the new ones, but it is obvious anytime Sterling K. Brown (AMERICAN FICTION, THIS IS US) as Xavier is around, my heart goes pitter-patter. He maintains such control and ease of the camera’s eye. It is hard to notice anyone else when he is in the room.

So far, it is obvious the world is in deep shit, and it is hard to remain optimistic. This is all due to the incredible ensemble. Their commitment to excellence is what makes this series appear authentic. Using children and ordinary character arcs pulls our heartstrings while we watch.  My head has hundreds of questions I want answered immediately, but PARADISE is taking its time, setting viewers up, I hope, for all the bombshells dropped last season. Thank goodness, my kneecaps are in great shape, and I have my water bottle close by. I am prepared.

PARADISE streaming on Hulu.
