Who would’ve imagined a show about the politics of Tatooine? Toss in a few generous scoops of world-building, and you have the best BOBA FETT episode so far.
One of my only problems with the series so far is adjusting with the bacta tank flashbacks – it’s been a bit hard to mentally switch empathy (for me, at least). This episode’s flashback, however, ties directly in with the story and is the most emotional of the show so far, which makes it a shame how brief it is.
The character of Boba Fett has never really been fleshed out in canon before, but THE BOOK OF BOBA FETT keeps drilling home how much of a sweetie-pie the former bounty hunter really is. It’s odd to imagine this Boba Fett interacting with Darth Vader or working for Jabba the Hutt. Not complaining, because it’s one of my favorite parts about the show, just pointing an out.
I’ll be keeping an eye out for the newcomers to Mos Espa. From last week’s surprise appearance of a certain…uh, cookie, to a new take on a classic STAR WARS monster, some fashionable Tatooinians, to the notorious Pykes, THE BOOK OF BOBA FETT is building a character arsenal that would make a Mandalorian envious.
You can stream THE BOOK OF BOBA FETT CHAPTER 3: THE STREETS OF MOS ESPA on Disney+ now.
