The jig is up at HOME ECONOMICS this week. Tom (Topher Grace) knows too much, and he cannot keep his mouth shut about the secret he is trying to keep. It literally twists him into a knot of nerves, which is kind of humorous to watch as he avoids the truth.
Tom tells his wife, Marina (Karla Souza), and now they are in trouble. They cannot behave normally in front of the other siblings. It was kind of funny to see the angst of “knowing or not knowing” spread throughout the family. This sitcom does have its ok moments, but I am not sure it is enough to carry an entire episode. I have said it before that HOME ECONOMICS needs bigger subject matters to sustain any momentum. It has been a very bumpy ride lately. How much do we really care who is dating who?
Topher, I adore your low-key, nebbish mannerisms, but we need more. My time has value too.
