AND JUST LIKE THAT… is not having a good year. Instead, the series seems to be offering the viewers and die-hard fans just fillers leading us along at a snail’s pace.Â
This episode was all about nurturing new friendships for Carrie (Sarah Jessica Parker) Charlotte, (Kristin Davis), and Miranda (Cynthia Nixon). All of the new cast members have different ethnic backgrounds than the ladies usually hang out with. This is a good thing, but pretty blatant on behalf of the writers.Â
AND JUST LIKE THAT… decided it was time to let go of an old friend who recently died in real life. I wondered how they were going to explain Stanford’s (Willie Garson) absence. I was not happy with this sub-plot. It was very underwhelming and felt like an after-thought.Â
I was appalled to see Carrie going backward in her journey. Same former apartment, and one horrendous outfit that you will know when you see it. Carrie, you are not a kid anymore. Fashion can accommodate women as they age gracefully.Â
I keep hoping AND JUST LIKE THAT… will find its mojo, but so far, I am just not a believer. It is available to stream on HBO MAX.
