This documentary 9to5: THE STORY OF A MOVEMENT is a tribute to the female workforce In the โ€™70s. It covers gender equality for wages, promotions, and hiring policies women were forced to endure as secretaries in the business world.

It cast a light on some of the most inane โ€œchoresโ€ women had to put up with in order to keep their job. The film showed the beginnings of the #metoo movement long before it became a national topic. The documentary shared clips, quotes, and thoughts from the original ladies who built this movement from scratch. Of course, Jane Fonda was a part of this organization and it was through her support and creativity, the movie 9 to 5 became a reality.

9to5: THE STORY OF A MOVEMENT is a straightforward, no-nonsense film. It states the facts along with some interesting narratives from the women who survived and changed history for the better. All of us stand on their shoulders and applaud their amazing, hard work for female equality. It is available to stream on Netflix
