YOU ARE WHAT YOU EAT was a documentary exploring the theories about how food affects your cognitive, physical, and sexual markers for the human body. More specifically, the differences between a Vegan and a healthy carnivore lifestyle. Twenty-one sets of identical twins were tracked for eight weeks under scientists’ care. Each of the four episodes also showcased what the meat, poultry, and fish industry is doing to our world’s environment. 

This was a very serious limited series. It painted a bleak picture of where our globe is headed. The current situation is not sustainable. The final conclusions were interesting and a compelling argument for change was repeatedly provided. It definitely was food for thought, and not in a good way. 

YOU ARE WHAT YOU EAT sheds light on what eating a plant-based diet can do for anyone. Brutal facts were not held back. It is a series for those who are ready to not just hear the truth but want to do something about it. It is streaming on Netflix.
