For the second time in SpoilerFreeReview’s existence, I’m giving up on a show before it even really gets going. I could not finish episode 4, KAREN AND BENJI. Showrunner Eliza Clark has turned the greatest comic book of all time into one of the worst TV shows in 2021.
The only reason to watch tonight’s episode is 355, played by Ashley Romans. She’s playing it smart in this THE WALK DEAD-like post-apocalyptic universe. Yet, this isn’t THE WALKING DEAD. There aren’t any zombies creeping around the corner of an abandoned pharmacy. Just women. Tons of women.
As the spoiled Yorik (Ben Schnetzer) and his awful sister Hero (Olivia Thirlby) continue to do stupid things, I won’t be there to tune in and see how the stupidity turns out. Here’s to Yorik letting his monkey, Ampersand, out of his cage, freeing him from this trash TV show.
