I had chills as soon as the familiar Marvel Cinematic Universe title sequence started. This is the first new MCU content since mid-2019, and I didn’t realize how much I missed going to the movie theater twice a year to watch a new entry in this massive saga.
That being said, this is nothing like a typical MCU outing. It’s almost aggressive how much WANDAVISION is letting us know that it’s a TV show.

Aside from the I LOVE LUCY style structure of this episode, you can tell the showrunners are dropping breadcrumbs that hint towards a big reveal. Plus, the episode by itself is also entertaining as a sitcom, distracting you from figuring out the larger puzzle too early on.

We’re also seeing so much of these two Avengers – probably as much as, if not more than, they’ve ever had in the character packed Avengers movies, which is great because Elizabeth Olsen and Paul Bettany are so fun to watch.

WANDAVISION Episode 1 is available to stream on Disney+.
