After a magical first episode, WANDAVISION keeps the laughs going while adding a bit more all-may-not-be-as-it-seems mystery in the second outing. The heart of this story is the chemistry between Elizabeth Olson and Paul Bettany who truly shine here as actors instead of playing backup to Captain America and Iron Man. Neither actor is really known for being comedic and yet by the end of Episode 2 it feels like we’ve always known each of them to be.
If you’ve watched I LOVE LUCY or THE HONEYMOONERS at any point in your life, WANDAVISION will hit all your nostalgia buttons while still managing to be absolutely fresh and new. Not to be overlooked are standout supporting cast members such as Debra Jo Rupp and Kathryn Hahn, and a surprise role from a former Buffyverse fan favorite.
For those who have seen the complete MCU thus far, things cannot be as they seem though given the events of AVENGERS ENDGAME, or can they? The secret to Wanda and Vision’s mostly idyllic life is still yet unknown. Where are they? When are they? I can’t wait to keep watching and find out.
WANDAVISION Episode 2 is available to stream on Disney+.
