The 50% of the movie that’s entertaining doesn’t deserve the 50% of the movie that’s awful. But 100% of the movie doesn’t know what it wants to be tonally.

As a comedy it’s not very funny. As a drama, there are decently acted moments (Since Hathaway and Ejiofor are good actors), but I didn’t need half a movie of Zoom calls with famous cameos to remind me how much COVID times suck. That said, the heist part is moderately entertaining.

Frankly it’s only because of that, and the ambition to even create a movie during the pandemic that I’m giving this movie anything resembling a pass.

See it if you’re bored and completely starved for something new to watch on HBO Max—but maybe just fast forward to the final 40 mins or so, because the rest won’t entertain you.

It is available via HBOMax.
