THE PITT brought me to tears with the outcome of several medical cases. It was so realistic and handled with the grace and caring of angels. Sometimes, the simplest of moments have the most impact on our heartstrings. I was impressed, but I was a sobbing mess.Â
Some might wonder why anyone would put themselves through the highs and lows of this realistic drama series. My response would be that we must celebrate those who enjoy caring for others even when they can’t care for themselves. Thank goodness these people exist, and any time we can shine a light in their corner is an incredible gift for our humanity. I write it every time I post a review on THE PITT… but just kudos to all involved. It is an amazing inside glimpse at a dedicated profession.Â
THE PITT is only halfway through its first season. I can’t imagine where viewers will be led each week during the rest of its 15-hour shifts. I just know I will be prepared with my Kleenex box nearby.Â
