THE NARROW BRIDGE was recently viewed at the Spokane Jewish Film Festival. It is a powerful story of two Israelis and two Palestinians who have all suffered either a death of a child or a parent due to the conflict along their borders. It is a story about unbelievable grief, tenacity, and in the end, hope.
Bushra, Rami, Meytal, and Bassam understand what a loss of violence can do to their souls. Time and trust are the key links that have helped these four courageous people find their way to the light once more. Becoming vocal, participating in community activism, and telling their stories has made them change. There are so many broken Israeli/Palestinians who are emotionally and physically creating a bridge to heal. It is an inspiring story that yearns for change and peace.
THE NARROW BRIDGE is an amazing film about what could be once people come together. It is compelling and needs to be seen by all war-torn nations. What a shame they only found their way to this realization after such tremendous loss. After all, “All tears are the same.”
