REACHER S4

REACHER just completed its fourth season with more shootouts, knife stabbings, and hand-to-hand combat than is humanly possible to conceive. It is a mystery to me that REACHER (Alan Ritchson) is still standing. The series is based upon the best-selling, exciting, thriller series by Lee Child. It felt like REACHER was back in great form fighting everyone to get to the truth. 

Ritchson projects REACHER without emotions. He thinks logically and never jumps to conclusions. REACHER is tenacious, loyal, focused, and matter-of-fact. He does not stop until the job is completed and the then he moves on to the next town and adventure. He only travels with a toothbrush. This has always been the humor and light of the man. Ritchman nails his character perfectly from start to finish. He takes every bloody blow and keeps on going just like the Energizer bunny but at a much slower pace. This season though I felt like REACHER’s personal grooming suffered. He wore the same red-stained clothes far too long.  His body was one big sweat bath with every battle. He was simply gross most of the time. I am not sure how anyone could miss or smell him coming, let alone want to have sex with him. It was a little bit too much, because from reading all the books, I didn’t get that pungently, bold picture in my mind. I still thoroughly enjoyed watching REACHER pummel his opponents. If only he were real and could take care of the bad guys in our society. 

REACHER won’t disappoint fans. The story content was kinda plausible and spread its myriad of plot hole claws out in all directions. It was delightfully intense escapism. I couldn’t wait for each installment to air. Don’t miss it especially if you are a fan of the novels.
