The penultimate episode of THE MANDALORIAN’s third season forces us to remember what makes this show what it is – from Grogu’s cuteness to the titular race of armored super-soldiers to the complex interwoven storytelling of Filoni-era STAR WARS. Although this season hasn’t quite reached the Western-gun-slinging-prophecy-weaving precedent set by the stellar first two seasons, I’ve thoroughly enjoyed the last few weeks of episodes. More than anything, THE SPIES feels like it’s setting us up for an intense and satisfying finale.
Should you watch the latest episode of THE MANDALORIAN now? Yes. Do I think that Grogu is overrated? No. Am I anxiously chewing my nails, wondering where the finale will take us? Yes yes yes yes yes.
