SCHMIGADOON! S2E4 SOMETHING REAL 🤩

SCHMIGADOON! got as REAL as it could be this week. Melissa (Cecily Strong) and Josh (Keegan-Michael Key) concluded, “SCHMIGADOON! was fun. SCHMIGACAGO not fun.” Now what to do…

Deep in their dilemma, the writers treated viewers to creative and clever musical production numbers. “Happy endings”  are hard to come by unless perhaps you TALK TO DADDY. Fosse…Fosse…Fosse fun, to be sure. Passing the phone was never so crazy or chaotic in REAL life. The entire dancing ensemble was fresh and cool, with surprising results.

My favorite song and dance routine had to be the Alan Cumming and Kristin Chenoweth duet together with the ANNIE orphan dancers. They dared to push boundaries and go “there.”  It was a hysterical, tap-dancing extravaganza. Bold. Brave. Brazen. What a hoot. I will think twice before I let anyone cut my meat.

SCHMIGADOON! uses the darker musicals of the 1960s – 1970s to great advantage. My brain is stretched with delightful ditties that open secret “happy ending” wishes for all.

It is available to stream on APPLE TV+.
