REBOOT’s first season was humorous, clever, and creatively written. The man, Steven Levitan, behind the camera, knows how to spin a story without using goofy laugh tracks. And it worked.
The ensemble was strong, including Keegan-Michael Key, Johnny Knoxville, Rachel Bloom, Judy Greer, Calum Worthy, and Paul Reiser. The jokes flew at lightning speed. It was a fun, light-hearted show with some serious, underlying, honest themes of everyday life and all its crazy scenarios. The writing room scenes were always the best. Old and new “schtick” ran rampant.
REBOOT ended with numerous cliffhangers. I think they are planning on returning. It is pure escapism, and I look forward to round two.
It is available to stream on HULU.
