PIECES OF HER starts off with an interesting premise and an exciting, violent, action packed, first episode. From there, the series gradually goes downhill with many, confusing flashbacks and a very drawn-out plot line.
I watched this show because I adore Toni Collette’s acting ability. She has a way of drawing the viewer into a complex story. This time it did not happen. Toni’s sad, luminous eyes just weren’t enough. The writing was not consistent. It seemed forced. There were way too many driving scenes. How much can we watch a car travel over bridges and highways. There was one exciting car crash scene but was “too little and too late” for any redemption. The finale seemed to never end long after the conclusion.
I hope PIECES OF HER is not coming back for another season. Enough is enough. The final line was so anti-climatical. Just let it go…(but secretly, I am still a fan of Toni’s) It is a available to stream on NETFLIX.
