MONSTERS AT WORK S1E3 THE DAMAGED ROOM 🤮

Note: I’m a HUGE MONSTERS INC/UNIVERSITY fan. That’s why it’s devastating to report there’s a “418” so bad in this series that a MIFTer couldn’t clean it up. AKA, I’m quitting this job (show) before it even begins.

Look! It’s a monster getting hit in the balls. A monster falls. Or how about a monster getting slapped in the face? It’s all done for laughs, but what’s inherently missing in Monstropolis are the actual “jokesters.”

Rather than spend the majority of time with Mike and Sulley, the series takes a drastic detour with a clean-up crew that’s just not funny. This week, the show cuts back and forth between a repeated theme of a baby in Monstropolis and the not-so lovable losers of MIFT cleaning up a kid’s room (a code-418). Unfortunately, it’s played so episodically that audiences won’t care. More importantly, you will be bored. 😴

Some random disappointing call outs:
There’s a whoopee cushion gag, and it’s not funny!
Billy Crystal shouldn’t sing unless it’s during the Oscars.

If you’re looking to have a good time, watch anything else by Pixar (outside of BRAVE). Yes, this series first few episodes are that bad, and you should skip them on Disney+.
