MEA CULPA 🤮 

MEA CULPA was a complete mess and a waste of my time. I have one question for Tyler Perry, the writer, producer, and director, what the hell were you thinking? 

The film had a capable cast which included Kelly Rowland, Trevante Rhodes, Nick Sagar, and Sean Sagar.  It was the writing that let it all go to pieces. There were holes in the plot line and debilitating slow pacing. The only excitement was at the last ten minutes of the film, which was too little too late. I found myself literary shouting at my screen to move it along or say something meaningful.  There were just too many pauses and silences that never reached the emotional climax it needed. 

MEA CULPA was such a disappointment. I usually enjoy Tyler Perry’s sultry, action-packed, thoughtful films…not this time. It is streaming on Netflix.
