The Good News: This week has two show-stopping songs. First, the entire cast ensemble (minus Ricky) via Zoom on “You Ain’t Seen Nothing Yet.” Second, the heartbreaking rendition of Ricky’s (Joshua Bassett) break-up song to Nini, “Let You Go.” These two songs are worth watching the “meh” 20 minutes that come before it.
The Bad News: It’s a Zoom episode. I’m unsure if COVID affected HSMTMS, but having most of the characters separated for a Zoom episode is so 2020. 😉
The Results: Although it’s fun watching former ANDI MACK castmates Sofia Wylie and Asher Angel reunite, it’s not enough to warrant an entire episode.
Yet, I’m able to forgive HSMTMS because it made me 😢 when Ricky asked to share his Nini break-up song with his mom saying, “Hey mom, do you want to hear something?”
