FARAWAY is a sweet, rediscovering who you are, minimal romcom. It is predictable but does give audiences a nice payoff at the end.
The movie was filmed in Croatia, along with some beautiful scenery and a small village. Stunning views and the locations add an extra “character” into the mix. The film works simply because of the talented two leads…Naomi Krause and Goran Bogdin. They present as an unusual twosome, especially when eating breakfast. I guess I wasn’t prepared enough. I love surprises. Made me laugh out loud. The writers nailed romance at middle age.
FARAWAY is not profound or a huge blockbuster. It is a small film but contains huge dreams for a happier life. It is available to stream on NETFLIX.
