Alright, so Eli already has an excellent review of this film, but I loved it so much that I needed to put my opinion up on this site.
Imagine if every single science fiction movie that you’ve seen over the past 20 years (THE MATRIX, COHERENCE, INCEPTION, INTERSTELLAR) was rolled into one. I’ll give you a second…that is a big ask.
Now, fold in every action movie, from JOHN WICK to FREE GUY.
Then, add a sprinkle of drama, e.g. MINARI, MOONLIGHT.
To taste, add a tiiiinnnyyyy bit of PALM SPRINGS and the MCU.
You may end up with the most maximalist, emotional, and invigorating movie of the year (so far), EVERYTHING EVERYWHERE ALL AT ONCE.
From Michelle Yeoh’s performance to the “Daniels” excellent directing and producing, I found a grand total of zero faults with this movie. It’s (by far) the most unique film I’ve seen in years.
I don’t want to tell you too much about the plot, but as soon as you have the chance, experience EVERYTHING EVERYWHERE ALL AT ONCE now, currently playing in theaters.
