I have just three letters for this week’s episode of DEXTER: NEW BLOOD… OMG! My stomach is still reeling from all that was revealed, explained, and demonstrated. OMG!
There was so much flowing blood and insane, gushy, crackling sound effects. It was all just super creepy. My brain won’t stop thinking about what some serial killers will keep as tokens from their kills. It’s the images of horrific nightmares yet to come.
Dexter (Michael C. Hall ) leads us down a path of no return. He is a consummate actor who breathes life into a very dark character you hope never to meet. He is a master of sarcastic facial expressions, intense stares, and quirky glares. I really don’t want to look into his eyes. It was a huge bonding night between Dexter and son, Harrison, (Jack Alcott). What a vigilante team they could create as long as they included their “Dark Passenger” and “Code.”
The DEXTER theme music played at all the most intense moments. This alone could keep me screaming in my sleep. I have a vivid imagination; I don’t need any extra help. Next week is the finale, and I have no idea how this will play out. Sheriff Angela (Julia Jones), also Dexter’s girlfriend, is too close to finding the truth. I am afraid for her and, strangely, as well for Dexter. I really am counting down the days until Sunday evening. I need closure. I need to forget certain images. I need my heart to go back to its resting pulse.
DEXTER: NEW BLOOD is incredible. Don’t miss out on one of the better, slow-brewing horror television series.
It is available to stream on SHOWTIME.
