CAROLE KING AND JAMES TAYLOR: JUST CALL OUT MY NAME is a breath of nostalgia, peace, and love. Hearing the two of them sing made my heart soar and put a smile on my face all evening.

It has been said that you can’t go back home again, but after listening to this CNN special documentary, I would disagree. For me, it was as if I had never left. This film was about Carole and James…their enduring friendship, and love for their music and audiences. It was a testament as to the kind of performers they always have been.

The movie covered many, magical moments from their Troubadour Reunion Tour a decade ago. In between, viewers were treated to more sound bites from when they first began in the late 60’s and early 70’s. There were interviews with their band members, music critics, and both James and Carole today. It all felt so relaxed and laid back. These two phenomenally talented musicians were meant to perform together. Their authentic partnership was always “just so easy” Carole always said.

Every song Carole and James sang was from their numerous, hit records such as: SO FAR AWAY, YOU’VE GOT A FRIEND, SWEET BABY JAMES, UP ON THE ROOF, FIRE AND RAIN, SMACKWATER JACK, SHOWER THE PEOPLE. and BEAUTIFUL.  It was a spectacular concert.

CAROLE KING AND JAMES TAYLOR: JUST CALL OUT MY NAME is what the world needs more of right now. My suggestion is to make sure you watch and revisit with these two very, special, iconic legends. They will supply the entertainment, so YOU CAN CLOSE YOUR EYES and just dream. It is available to stream on CNN.
