The latest season of DAREDEVIL is wild, highly watchable, binge-worthy television. It has an overstuffed plot with several villains and returning superheroes, and it leans heavily on courtroom theatrics to prove its point. Yet, with a climax that combines an electric chilling finale for Kingpin and all the best parts of Matt Murdock, none of its weaknesses matter – since it’s so damn entertaining.
And the reason why all of this works so well is thanks to Charlie Cox and Vincent D’Onofrio. These two actors continue to have so much chemistry that anything you put them in is explosive. They are the show’s engine, while it leans into the parallel between a hero with a mask and a villain without one.
Final Thought: DAREDEVIL keeps Marvel’s winning streak going and builds excitement for THE PUNISHER: ONE LAST KILL and the next season, which is already filming. Personally, I can’t wait to get back to Hell’s Kitchen and see what happens next.
The entire second season is available on Disney+.
