Things are becoming much bittersweet at this stage in the BETTER CALL SAUL season. We’ve already wrapped several main storylines, so the current episodes are starting to feel like a well-put-together epilogue.
The heartbreak of Saul Goodman’s story is felt tenfold in that he’s not the man he used to be, and he might never be able to become it again. It’s tragic to watch his actions, which sharply contrast who he was in earlier episodes of this season.
I have no idea what happened on the pay phone call this week (neither does the audience), but I’m hoping for an all-Kim episode before we say goodbye to Jimmy.
As an aside, I’m purposely avoiding any conversation about why the name of this episode is called what it is. If you’re watching BCS, you owe it to yourself to experience that part of it in real-time.
