ABBOTT ELEMENTARY S2E11 READ-A-THON 🤩

ABBOTT ELEMENTARY showcased an all-school READ-A-THON. There was heavy competition between Janine’s (Quinta Brunson) first graders and Melissa’s (Lisa Ann Walter) second graders. It was a brutal battle of who could read the most books.

The reading contest between both classes brought on the best and worst of the teachers and kids. A reading wonderland, pink eye, and even cheating can change the outcome. I enjoyed seeing the softer side of Melissa’s teaching technique. It was a classic picture of choosing the right way to help children. The writers gave us a well-scripted episode and, as a former teacher, true to life.

Another part of this installment featured the art of podcasting. Is it about getting cash for extra-curricular activities or creating gossipy interviews and stories? So many lessons were learned.

ABBOTT ELEMENTARY keeps it real within the mindset of teaching the world. It’s the littlest things that always make a difference. This show uses humor, kindness, caring, and “Ava voom” to hook and maintain its audience. Well done.

ABBOTT ELEMENTARY is available to stream on ABC Television.
