WHAT WE DO IN THE SHADOWS S3E1-2 🤩

WHAT WE DO IN THE SHADOWS, the most creative and entertaining comedy of the last few years, is back and better than ever.

It picks up right where we left off, with the vampires debating the fate of Nandor’s familiar (who is, in fact Nandor’s familiar, despite what he may claim). The episodes achieve everything I love about this show:

  1. The characters are hilarious and distinct. I love how much personality shines through – the show’s “mockumentary” interviews interpolated with the candid (and usually goofy) scenes of everyday vampiric experiences hasn’t gotten old. I love that you can almost see the gears turning in the characters heads as they ponder their next moves
  2. The world-building is delightful. This show has grown so much from the original film’s source material, neatly tieing it into the universe set up back in New Zealand. The silly bureaucracy of the world of the undead is so fun to witness, especially though the eyes of our wannabe-terrifying protagonists.
  3. Finally, Guillermo’s plight is just perfect.

I can’t wait to see what shenanigans the Staten Island vampires get up to in this season.

WHAT WE DO IN THE SHADOWS in available to stream on FX on Hulu.
