UPGRADED is a saccharine, sweet rom/com just in time for Valentine’s Day. Of course, it is predictable and improbable. Did I mention it’s Valentine’s week? Then, all is forgiven.
What elevates UPGRADED is the thoughtful writing that lifts audiences’ ideas on our self-worth. It becomes evident that lying is never rewarded. The chemistry is thick throughout the film between Ana (Camila Mendes) and Will (Archie Renaux) which makes it a fun romp featuring great London locations and clothes.
UPGRADED will make everyone want to fly first class with hopeful dreams. Even so, lessons are illuminated for the next generation. It is streaming on Prime Video.
