UNITED STATES OF AL S1 E13 HELP; KOMAK 🤩

The UNITED STATES OF AL ended its first season with a strong impact on our vets. It emphasized the importance of getting medical or mental help when returning home. Powerful and necessary.

Riley (Parker Young) was in total denial about how he was feeling. Not one member of his family had been able to get through to him until Al (Adhir Kalyan) refused to let the issue go. The dialogues between Riley and his daughter, his dad, his sister, and his estranged wife were authentic and honest. They showed the difficulties vets have in admitting how far off-track their lives can get.

I believe this finale of UNITED STATES OF AL was the strongest show thus far. It is one of the few that deals with issues our returning men have to face. It is must-see TV for the rest of us as well. We need to learn what to expect and how to be there for our courageous soldiers with hope and a little humor.

UNITED STATES OF AL is available to stream on CBS ALL ACCESS.
