THREE PINES has solved another homicide case. “The hangman” was more than just a body swinging from a tree. White pine trees made all the difference for Inspector Gamache, played by Alfred Molina.
The final two episodes also broke some mystery surrounding the missing Indigenous women. The team has a long way to go, but at least one of the families will finally have peace knowing the truth. The finale ended with a heart-stopping cliffhanger. I could not believe the writers went “there.” I hope a second season is in the works. I need more from this “unassuming” quiet village of THREE PINES. “What is it about this place?”
THREE PINES is quirky. There is a distinct, gentle rhythm to get to the end of an investigation. I like the uniqueness of all the characters. Each of them is working through their personal problems. We see them as real “humans,” not just “shoot-them-up” cops. It is refreshing and very compelling. I enjoy solving the murders from an intellectual viewpoint (it kept me on my toes).
THREE PINES is available to stream on AMAZON PRIME.
