My heart is still beating way too fast after viewing this week’s episode of THE PATIENT. I can’t believe what I just witnessed. I am silently screaming at my screen.
THE PATIENT is a slow burn of sheer terror. It is all about those precious still moments just before all hell breaks loose. Alan (Steve Carell) can’t put what he has just experienced back in a box. His cries tore my soul in half. Sam (Domhnall Gleeson) is the picture of your worst nightmare. I don’t agree… you are at fault.Â
I don’t know what road we are traveling, but my heart says please, make it stop, and quit playing Kenny Chesney music. If this was the effect you wanted from your viewers, the actors and writers should receive a standing ovation.
